Shimla, February 22, 2016 (News Team): Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have mourned the death of Lance Naik Om Prakash, who was killed while fighting the terrorists at Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

In a message to the bereaved family, The Governor has conveyed his heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family members. He prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

In his condolence message, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said he was pained to know that another soldier from Himachal Pradesh sacrificed his life fighting valiantly with the terrorists at Pampore. He said that Lance Naik Om Prakash, who hailed from Shimla district, laid down his life for the cause of the Nation and would always be remembered for this supreme sacrifice.

The Chief Minister has expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved family members and prayed for the peace of the departed soul. He said the last rites of Lance Naik Om Prakash would be performed with full state honour.
