Shimla, August 20, 2016 (News Team): Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today offered floral tributes to the former Prime Minister of India, late Rajiv Gandhi on his statue at Rajiv Chowk, Chhota Shimla, to mark celebration of his 72nd Birth Anniversary.

Chief Minister said that late Rajiv Gandhi was a source of inspiration and icon of youth of the country. He also administered oath of unity and integrity on the occasion.

Chief Minister was joined by I&PH Minister Vidya Stokes, Health and Family Welfare Minister Kaul Singh Thakur, Mayor MC Shimla Sanjay Chauhan, Ex. M.P. Pratibha Singh, President DCC Shimla Rural Kehar Singh Khachi, Councilor Surinder Kumar, Ex. Mayor MC Shimla Adarsh Sood and other prominent persons and dignitaries of the town.

Devotional and patriotic songs also formed part of the ceremony.
