CM and Minister thanked for Dal Lake road and beautification projects
Shimla, August 12, 2016 (News Team): Vice Chairman, State Forest Development Corporation Kewal Singh Pathania has thanked Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh for announcing a sum of Rs. 1.3 crore for improvement of road from Dal Lake to Naddi in Shahpur assembly constituency of Kangra district. He also thanked the Chief Minister for providing Rs. 50 lakh for widening and improvement of road from Tangle turn to Dal Lake.
Governor participates in cleanliness campaign
Shimla, April 06, 2016 (News Team): Governor Acharya Devvrat today participated in the Cleanliness Campaign organized by Shimla Amateur Garden and Environment Society (SAGES) under 'Swachta Abhiyan' at Chaura Maidan, Shimla. CM announces enhancement in Shikhar Samman Awards
Shimla, March 14, 2016 (News Team): While presiding over the 29th meeting of the governing body of Himachal, Art, Cultural and Language Academy here today, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh announced for increasing the amount of ‘Sahitya Awards’ and ‘Kala Samman’ to Rs. 51 thousands and the amount of ‘Shikhar Samman’ awards to be enhanced to rupees one lakh from the existing Rupees 51 thousands.

Annual Plan of Rs 5200 crore approved in Planning Board meeting
Shimla, February 15, 2016 (News Team): The State Government has approved annual plan outlay of Rs. 5200 crore for the year 2016-17 which is 8.33 percent higher than the size of Annual Plan of 2015-16. This was disclosed in the meeting of State Planning Board held here today chaired by Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh.
CM directs officers to work on war footings for effective Control of Jaundice
Shimla, January 23, 2016 (News Team): Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has taken a serious note over the spread of jaundice in the Shimla town and the surrounding areas and asked the concerned departments to work on war-footing for its effective control. He directed the concerned departments that protocol to monitor the quality of water and sewerage connectivity besides health coverage at multiple levels should be followed strictly throughout the State. He cautioned all concerned that no laxity at any level will be tolerated. He also directed to send weekly reports/ observation to the government so that appropriate action could be taken in time.

CM directs to explore possibilities to construct link roads in Shimla town
Shimla, January 12, 2016 (News Team): The State Government will explore possibilities to construct alternative roads in Shimla town to ease out the traffic pressure on the circular road. A new alternative road from Hotel Holiday Home (HHH) to Directorate of Education through Krishna Nagar will also be constructed and it would be further linked with the National highway.
