Mumbai, July 10, 2015 (News Team): Pearl V Puri aka Abeer Malhotra from Star Plus’ popular show, Phir Bhi Naa Maane…Badtameez Dil has been on a fitness spree ever since the lead role on the show. Pearl began to follow a systematic routine that consisted of a proper workout regime and a strict diet which included only salads, soups and juices. All this and more has made the newbie lose up to about 10 kilos because his character is of someone who is muscular and has a good body. 

Pearl says, “I literally gave up eating all my favorite foods. I’ve only eaten soups, salads and have rigorously worked out to make sure I shed all those extra kilos and get in shape to play Abeer. It has worked so much in my favor that even though I have done all that I had to with regards to my body and getting into shape, I still continue to eat salads and that’s my meal every day. My co-stars make fun of me thinking that I pick on my food because all of them especially Asmita (Meher Purohit) is a foodie but I stick to my food only.”
